It's pretty tough to get all three kids looking happy and excited! We took several pictures this fall for our Christmas cards and these are some of the best.
The other morning Mason was anxious to tell me all about a scary dream he had during the night. He went into great detail to explain a big bug with stripes and wings was chasing him.... not sure where that came from, but it was really funny.
As we've been working on potty training, Mason has been working hard to get to the potty on time. One afternoon he was racing to the potty and then came out with wet pants. He looked at me with a scrunched up face and said, "I'm not very good at this." Poor little guy, I was busy changing Andrew's pants, and he had been trying so hard. He has since made huge progress!
Last night the kids were outside digging in the yard and they found a worm. They love to play with worms, but Mason decided that the worm would enjoy a ride in his dump truck. He proceeded to put the worm in the truck and race him all over the driveway. It was pretty funny.
One night we're in the tub and Mason was doing some toots. He was getting a kick out of the bubbles that were coming from his bum. He then told me that he needed to get his stinkies out in the tub because he thought he should get them (the stinkies) clean....because they are stinkie!
The funny things they say....
Allison
The other day we were walking home from school and Allison told me about someone being sick and they had to have their "utinsels" out. I said, oh, you mean their tonsils, oh yeah she said.
Where does God live? A: Mom, where does God live? Mom: Up in heaven. A: How do we get there? Can we go visit? Mom: No, it's not a place we can drive or fly to. A: What if we took a donkey? Could he get us there?
As we were walking home from school one day, Allison told me that some of her friends asked her how old her mom was. She told them, she's 25. She then asked me on the way home if that was right.....I simply said yes.
The other day we're at the grocery store and they were having a special on fresh salmon. The whole fish was for sale, laying on ice and she had never seen such a big fish so close. She asked the lady at the fish counter "Did you guys just catch those this morning?" She wanted to know where they caught them so she could go fishing there with her dad.
We're reading a Dora book and in the story Dora has to cross over a big bridge where a Troll lives underneath. As we come to the picture of the Troll in the book (he looks kind of mean), Allison says, "he must not get any naps, he looks kind of grumpy." It really made me laugh.

What fun family pics! It's always difficult getting them done, but worth the effort.
